The definition of "yourself" is the one that is "you(person)", your normal and true behavior and " Self " is the pure consciousness(soul), which is invisible in every living being. Knowing and mastering oneself is the secret, we must free ourselves from ourselves, by our Self. SELF stands for the soul and until its realization if we say ourselves or yourself or myself, we are referring to our ego. In olden days most people were interested in Self-Realization . Many saints and sages who were God realised viz:- Kardama, Janaka, Vasishta, Viswamithra, Kapila, Vysya, Pathanjali etc., left their guidelines for us to follow. But in the present days most people indulge in sense gratification, enjoying the pleasures that arise from the contact of the senses with their objects during their life time which are the cause of suffering. Dhyana (which is usually translated as Meditation ) is a Sanskrit word derived from the root words 'dhi' meaning the mind and 'yana' means 'moving or going(think) of'.  Meditation is an ancient practice that is believed to have originated in India several thousand years ago. Different types of Meditations such as Spiritual Meditation , Mindful Meditation, Focused Meditation, Chanting Meditation etc., are being practiced in every community. It is an effective way to relieve stress and paves a way for the foundation of overcoming dissatisfaction, intolerance and keeps us living happily. A daily meditation practice can have significant benefits for mental and physical health. Meditation is a means of transforming the mind and a calm seeing of the true nature of things. One uses a mindfulness technique or focuses the mind on a particular object, thought, or activity to train attention and awareness and achieve a mentally clear, emotionally calm, and stable state. 

What is Transmission of Yogic energy(Pranahuti)?

In Sanskrit, 'prana' means life-force and 'ahuti' means offering. So pranahuti means ‘offering of the life-force’.  Pranahuti(transmission) is a way to accelerate one's spiritual growth with the grace of a Spiritual Master. The energy flows directly from the Spiritual Master to the individual via heart to heart. In the spiritual practice, the flow of yogic power from the Master to the disciples plays an important role in the transformation of man into a perfect human being. It regulates the mental tendency from going off track and thereby brings his senses and activities into a state of perfect balance and moderation. Spiritual training for the attainment of higher stages is only possible only by the process of Yogic transmission and by no other means.
