Substance of Bhagavadgita in brief

The experience of happiness and distress in life are like the appearance and disappearance of winter and summer seasons,  tolerate them without being disturbed. For the soul, there is neither birth nor death nor it cannot be destroyed. It is everlasting and imperishable. He who dwells in the body is eternal and can never be killed.  Why you cry that you may lose something.? What did you bring with you, which you think you are losing now? What did you create your own,  which you think now that it is being destroyed?  You came with empty hands, you will leave with empty hands only.  Whatever is going to happen will definitely happen.  It is God's will. Don't  worry about it unnecessarily Be like a sage, who is not disturbed in spite of miseries nor delighted when there is happiness, free from attachment, fear, and anger. Be free from desires, devoid of false ego, and then alone you attain Real Happiness. Do your prescribed duty for the sake of God and free from

HUMANITY

Image
The word humanity is derived from Latin Humanitas for " human nature and kindness". Humanity refers to the kind feelings humans often have for each other. The  values which are considered basically essential in humans include Sympathy, compassion, mercy, brotherly love,  kindness, understanding, tolerance, gentleness,  pity, charity, generosity, magnanimity, etc., Human values are guidelines that help us to generate good thoughts in us so that we can do good deeds,  to think about good towards others not only humans but also other living beings such as animals, birds, etc.,  They also help in our actions we play day to day in our life drama.  They are many and each value is most important to lead a righteous life in the right direction to pave a path towards spirituality. Humanity means caring for and helping others whenever and wherever possible forgetting our selfish interests at times when others need our help

Work is Worship, so perform Nishkama Karma

Life is dull without work. A man who is lazy can achieve nothing in life. Laziness and dullness are the curses of life. The whole civilization of man has evolved itself only through hard work. All the inventions and discoveries of science are the result of hard work only. We must think and understand that God has sent us with some purpose into this world and that purpose must be useful and wholesome for society. The motto `work is worship' is the very basis of all religions. Whatever may be the sphere of activity of a person, he is expected to discharge his obligations to the best of his ability, honestly, diligently, and with a dedication to God. Every act should be governed by absolute honesty. Everybody must be aware that God is in our heart and he is closely watching our attitude whether the work is carried out with honesty or with corrupt motive and attempt to cheat others. If this righteous conduct is maintained in day-to-day activities, there will be no imbalance in

The Real person is hidden by the Pancha Koshas, the 5 psychic sheaths

The Human body what we normally see and feel is not an entity that is real. Instead, there are 5 sheaths enveloping the real entity 'Jiva' or causing an influence on the Jiva (Atman, the Soul). Panchakoshas, the five psychic sheaths enveloping/covering the 'Atman' or 'Aatma' (the Self, also called the Soul), are discussed in the Taittiriya Upanishad which is a part of the Taittiriya Samhita of the Krishna Yajur Veda. It gives a detailed description of the dimensions of human personality or the dimensions of the Self. The first of these sheaths or coverings (Koshas) is the Annamaya Kosha, the covering of the gross element, which is represented by the human body. It came into existence from the parents. It is nurtured with affection and care. It is the grossest covering. It has given its color to the soul and has dominated the soul so much, that it does not consider itself separate from it. Day and night the people are engaged in its care, and all the time

Peace

Before the creation was started there was nothing but peace. When the creation started the peace also commenced disturbing. The mountains and valleys, sea and land, good and bad all ups and downs came into existence. From time to time the wise strived to restore the disturbed peace. The religions, the peace restoring societies, and so many organizations are at work to bring back peace. But the very same organizations and religions have become cause to disturb peace more and more in course of time. When you want a peak the valley is a must. If you want ups, downs are inevitable. The so-called nature is like that. We cannot avoid only downs keeping ups. It is possible only after total dissolution, where there will be no ups and downs and everything has vanished. As long as the created nature exists total and absolute peace is impossible. But whenever the need arises Nature will maintain and equalize the balance. How and when it happens is beyond our comprehension. Here the

True Love

Love is expressed as an action and experienced as a feeling. It is unconditional affection with no limits or conditions. Love can make you do anything and sacrifice for what will be better in the end.  Lust is the desire for the body and love is the desire for the soul. It is never boastful, never selfish, and not quick to take offence. We human beings define love in different ways. But truly speaking love is an inborn quality that needs no explanation. Take for example a cow (animal), it loves its newborn calf so much. It dries the calf’s body with its tongue and gives milk at the earliest possible. That is the love developed automatically without any specific education.

Have the right attitude and take actions and decisions with balanced mind

It is an expression of favor or disfavor towards a person, place, thing, event, etc., It is also a settled way of thinking or feeling about something.  As human beings, we should have a special attitude by which others may not be affected. Moreover, we should develop an attitude so that other living beings should become happy and satisfied with our behavior. This behavior or our attitude may differ when dealing with different persons or living beings. If you meet a learned preacher, you offer fruits and clothes and pray for blessings, thereby he becomes happy and satisfied with your attitude. But towards a cow, your attitude will differ. You give green grass, sweet water and protect it from rain, sunshine, etc., That is enough for a cow to become happy. Likewise, your attitude will change with your pet dog or parrot, etc. And your attitude towards a plumber, scavenger, or servant will also differ. You should think he is no less than you and moreover, you should treat him as a he

Do your duty, surrender to God and be free from Sorrow

Sorrow is an emotion, feeling, deep distress/sadness for the loss of relatives, friends or something loved. According to Gautama Buddha, the world is full of sorrow, and to solve this problem, He has striven for seven long years and found that wants are the main cause for the sorrow. A learned poet has also proclaimed that the only existing thing is sorrow and sorrow only. A gap between sorrow and another sorrow is being mistaken as happiness.
